Developing Cultural Awareness for Placement and Future Practice

 

This course can be completed as preparation for your placement, or during your placement, or as a refresher for the next time you head out

Workplace learning can be one of the most exciting and nerve-racking parts of your health professions training at university – but it is definitely the area in which you will become more intimately acquainted with your profession. This course is specifically designed to help you get started on your journey and to ensure you make the most out of every placement opportunity – specifically those in rural communities. 

This course can be completed as preparation for your placement, or during your placement, or as a refresher for the next time you head out!

 

Telehealth - Embracing technology in healthcare?aims to: 
·Provide key concepts of telehealth and its role within healthcare 
·Educate health students and professionals to deliver appropriate telehealth services 
·Promote the awareness and opportunities to incorporate telehealth in healthcare delivery 
Course content, patient scenarios, resources, and guides have a focus on the current telehealth practice within the Three Rivers footprint. The modules have been designed to be easy to navigate and to include interactive opportunities for students and health professionals. 

Duration and time commitment: It should take you approximately 2.5 hours to complete all topics which will give you an emerging understanding of how to prepare for placement in a First Nations Health context. You do not need to complete this module in one sitting.
