Creating an organisational culture of learning

This course is about growing your capacity as a clinical supervisor to enhance the learning experiences of students, with the intention that they will return to practice rurally. Student experiences on a rural clinical placement can be a strong influence on intention to practice in a rural location after graduation. We want to help you to build the future rural heath workforce by supporting you in your supervisory role. These modules are just the start! We’d love to continue working with you to nurture the students on their clinical training journey and to ultimately build and improve workforce and patient care in these settings.

Highlighting the features of rural practice, supporting students to be proactive in seeking out learning opportunities, managing students in the workplace, developing cultural awareness and safety, and creating a best practice clinical learning environment are just some of the strategies you can think about to build capacity in supervisory practice – we’re keen share the resources with you and get your feedback about them – enjoy and stay in touch!
