Introduction to Student Supervision

This module is designed to introduce supervisors to the process of providing student supervision and work-integrated education. It is designed to introduce early-career staff who might not be experienced in education as well as providing experienced staff with new hints and tips to providing successful student education in rural settings.

  • Identify the fundamental requirements of student placements
  • Develop an awareness of different approaches to and models of supervision
  • Identify where and how to refer students for support
  • Understand the requirements for student assessment and need for feedback on clinical placements.
